I have bought two USB Bluetooth Dongle with Broadcom chipset(BCM2045 and BCM2046) a few days ago.
Try and try, trace and trace,I find a way to make them to work with PS3 controller finally .They all can pair with my DUALSHCOK 3 and sixaxis today, and two controllers paired with one dongle.I think it can pair more at the same time, but I only one sixaxis and one Dualshcok 3 .
Download: x86_version,x64_version
I have tested with chipset(BCM2045 and BCM2046) Dongle.
please make sure the driver version :0.5.0001+

Worked great on my BT dongle that didn't work before, so thanks much for this. Also, I like the layout of the program better than that of 4.000's
2 DS3 1 BT
It works but it’s a bit tricky to get them to work correctly. I’ve been testing for a couple of days now and it seems that if there’s too much input from both controllers at the same time you get all sorts of problems controllers disconnect, input is mixed up (input to controller 1 results in actions of player 2) buttons stop working while others don’t.So what I’m doing right now is one controller in usb and the other on BT, and it’s been fine so far.Anyone with the same problems? I’m on win7 x64 internal Broadcom bt
Anyway thx for your hard work!!
Game does not register as two controllers
Everything seems to work fine except for the fact that I BSODed the first time I paired and disconected my PS3 controller. Also my games do not register them as two controllers when I connect them by bluetooth. In the Device Manager it shows up as two but in game only one works. Both controllers works if both controllers are connected by USB though so I'm not sure what the problem is.
I don't know about this, but it may be the same...
Technically, I'm not so sure if it's like it acts as one controller, because when I was configuring the controls to work on one controller and then another, there was a difference.
The first controller for example, had JOY1_UP
But the second controller had JOY2_UP.
This may be the same as what your games may do.
Driver Load problem.
Hi, Acxie.I uninstalled old version(0.4.0002) correctly. Then I installed new one (MotioninJoy_050000_alpha_x86.zip), I can't load the Driver. The error message is:INDO:ENTER: DriverPackageInstallW. Error code:0INDO:Looking for Model Section [MotioninJoy.NTx86].... Error code:0WARNING:Driver Package 'MijXinput.inf' references Catalog file 'C:\Program Files\MotioninJoy\ds3\drivers\MijXinput.cat' that cannot be found.. Error code:0ERROR:Could not get name of the inf file.. Error code:0INDO:RETURN: DriverPackageInstallW (0x643). Error code:0and VERSION: DRIVER: shows up as 0.0.0000. How can I do?
The same problem, only fixed.
I kinda had the same problem, too.Turns out the driver IS in fact installed but you have to restart MotionInJoy. I mean either removing the process or Closing the browser then closing it in the Taskbar Icons. Then start it up back again and it should show the drivers again :D
It works! But there's still a slight problem...
Every time you remove the bluetooth adapter from the USB port with these drivers, there's a chance the computer will bluescreen. I'm on Windows XP. For most people this may not exactly be a problem, just leave it in the USB port at all times. But if I want to switch to my laptop's touchpad, I *have* to remove it, because my laptop thinks the dongle is an external mouse.
Several recommendations
when exiting DS3 Tool. Also, automatically install DS3 related drivers
upon opening DS3 tool. (This will enable me to use my BT Dongle via my
original driver when not playing)
I second this
You took the words right out of my mouth. The only way I can seem to getthis to work effectively is to shutdown and then restart. and that is just hard on a computer.

this driver is extremely
this driver is extremely annoying, i get BSOD even without a connected PS3 controller or BT dongle.
BSOD occurs even when i type something in using my USB keyboard.
I also had two devices listed as game controllers (MotioninJoy Virtual Device (PS3 Controller) and XBox emulated controller.
I uninstalled it and reinstalled the older one 0.5.0000, which works well if i dont disconnect/reconnect the controller via USB.

Working perfectly with mt broadcomm 2045 BT dongle. The only bad thing is that i can't turn my controller off. I pressed the ps button for a minute and it didn't turn off.THX motioninjoy!!
All ps3 controllers have a
All ps3 controllers have a shut-off feature. To use it all you have to do is hold down the ps button for like ten seconds
thanks
thanks acxie, working on my broadcom adapter BCM2045 using win 7 x64. the only problem is when turning the controller off, you have to keep the ps button pressed for 10 seconds
Blank Screen.
I get Nothing in the opening screen.
No green screen just White with nothing.
But ver 4.002 worked great with green screen.
Windows 7 64 bit.
Anyone else has this?
Axie help.
Deleted all old drivers
Now, I installed the new one on top. I did properly uninstall old drivers. DS3_TOOL shows up as 0.5.0000.The driver shows up as 0.0.0000. Does the new one include a driver?Of course it doesn't work because there's no driver.
Thank you man! It works
I fixed it. I think another 3rd party driver is occupying my BT dongle (FreeBT). Delete it by regedit and I was good to go. However, I guess I can't use my bluetooth for any other purpose anymore since my WIDCOMM driver is disabled. If there's another free driver available that can coexist with MotioninJoy, please let me know. I would love to use my wireless headset along with the sixaxis controller.
Viberation Problem
Thank you for the update, I can now use my broadcom BT dongle, but I've noticed that there are some problems with the viberation, in NFS Shift, the viberation stops suddenly for a minute then goes back to work then stops again. It's a bug I guess in the new version.
thanks again
Nevermind
The link works fine. Just be sure to uninstall an older version.

Great news, can't wait to
Great news, can't wait to finally be able to use bluetooth
SFIV fightstick
Hello, do you think it's possible to create drivers for the Mad Catz street fighter IV fightstick for PS3? As you can see in this thread, some work and some do not http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?p=7448431#post7448431 very annoying.
There is still major problems
Every time I press load on Driver Manager of MotioninJoy (0.5), my
"Broadcom 2046 Bluetooth 2.1 USB UHE Dongle" driver under Bluetooth
Device of Windows Device Manager automatically disappear. I can no
longer use the bluetooth without the driver.Perhaps installing
another extra device under Bluetooth Devices would solve the problem?
Sony installed a bluetooth in there. I believe it works just like any
bluetooth device. Any bluetooth device must have pass key for pairing.
I understand that you want the controller to be detected using DS3
Tool. The part of inserting pass key is ignored. I suggest it'd be
better for each individual's bluetooth driver software to detect the
device rather than using DS3 Tool. In this way, you don't have to make
DS3 conform to the device of each brand of BT. It's too much work and
too complicated.
onto a PC, the controller reads the paired signal. I press pairing, it
immediately flashes a port number (1 - 4). I unplug the USB, the
controller turns off and won't turn back on (no matter how I press the
PS button) unless I replug the USB.On PS3, according to the
PS3 manual, the controller automatically pair with the PS3 whenever I
use the USB. The all 4 light flashes indicating it's charging. It
turns off whenever charge is complete. At no time when the controller
is plug onto a USB does the flash light indicating that it has
registered for 1 port. The USB and the BT function of MotioninJoy
is conflicting. The controller which is designed for PS3 doesn't know
there's 2 situations (USB vs BT) which it is suppose to be active.I
recommend to design two different drivers to accommodate USB and BT.
It won't cause logical conflict which ultimately prevent the controller
from turning on.
You the man
I happen to have broadcom chipset. I would love to have BT capability.I love you man.
