The driver install function is integrated into ds3_tool. Because some one often forget run as administor. by this way it will restart as administor automatically if you need to install the driver and windows will  alarm user the program need elevated permission.
About Internet requiremen:
From this version the program will automatically load UI files from local if you are offline.
But if you Internet is online the program will load some little ad,sorry for this arrangement. Because I have to pay this project expenses ,for example :I have bought 10+ bluetooth dongles,and 3 xbox360 controllers and 1 wireless receiver,and this web server.
BTW: I plan to applied for digital sign for Microsoft windows. 
No profile editor with offline at the moment,but you can select saved custom profile,I'll add the profileeditor to local

I'm relatively new to all this so bear with me. I bought a wireless USB gamepad. I don't believe it's bluetooth, but I couldn't really tell you either way. I'm not sure which version of motion joy to download and how to set it up for DC universe online. I'd appreciate any help. The brand is Subsonic and it's basically a generic playstation 3 controller.

Problems with Internet Connection & MIJ over Bluetooth

I am using MIJ over Bluetooth with an m17x (using integrated bluetooth) however, after a very short period of time, my Internet speed is slowed to almost zero, web pages do not load and online games disconnect/time out.

This only occurs when using a PS3 controller over Bluetooth. When using it plugged in via USB the issue does not occur.

I can easily replicate this problem. When this issue occurs, if I plug in the controller, my internet connectivity/speed is normal.

Can you please advise?
I am considering purchasing a separate bluetooth dongle to see if this will resolve the problem but as I plan to play online games with a controller over BT it's a bit of a dealbreaker.

Does your Internet connect via wifi?The wifi's electric wave  frequency as same as the bluetooth,but  one of them does't molest another.Try to change your wifi   frequency channel(I can't not make sure is this useful).I am using wifi and bluetooth at the same time with motioninjoy.

Thanks for your prompt response Acxie.Yes, I connect to a wireless router using my laptop's integrated wifi. I've taken your advice and have changed the wireless channel on my router so will see how the controller performs over BT now and report back. If that doesn't help I'll look into purchasing a USB BT dongle.

Another update here - amending the channel on my wireless router has yielded no improvement. Soon after MotionInJoy is active over Bluetooth, the internet connection on my laptop just doesn't work. Disabling/plugging in the controller via USB immediately fixes the issue. Guess I'll look into another USB Bluetooth Dongle.Cheers for the help - hopefully this is something that may be able to be rectified in a future driver release.

Hey. i've done everything as told in wiki, i use win 7 64 bit the problem i got is that when i press about it says DS3_TOOL 0.5.002 or 0.6.000 and the DRIVER is always 0.0.0000.. what's wrong?

i clicked it.. and there is no problem everything runs correct...The thing is that i saw somewhere that you need to run something related with USB which was shown in motionjoy file in wiki, but i don't have it...still the Driver is 0.0.0000
 

A possiblilty why that happened:

More than likely the version number is hard-coded into the driver itself, but the developers forgot to update that information in this particular build, so even if the version is displayed wrong, it doesnt mean the driver is the wrong version.

My analog wont work

I have a windows 7 64 bit computer before i updated my analog on my ps3 controller were working perfectly but since i updated they stopped and and my ds3 tool always is on digital game pad with no analogs and when i try to select the other options they dont work for some reason i dont kow. i tried pairing up but that doesnt do anything because noothig comes up. help me please. but good work though with this program i will not be ungrateful, u save me a alot of money and frustration with motion joy thnx.

1. You GET IT  SIGNED, NO adds, of any kind.
2. You  make sure code is fully clean/optimized for production (FULL Win7 support is a must).
3. Mantain or simplify install an pairing process.
4. A minimum of two (2) PS3 controllers are effectively (and efficently) supported, via BlueTooth.
5. Vibration is not critical for me now.
 
I have a twin PS3 setup (including SACD support), plenty of six-axis controllers, and have now added a high-speed/Nvidia laptop (with Broadcom BT terminal) for Emulation (8bit/16-32bit/Mame) and select games, all hooked up to a 52" Sony Bravia LCD TV, and surround audio.
In short: I am not planning to hook up anything other than the PS3 controllers, and all has to be BlueTooth. 
Your product deserves it.

i 've installed as you told but there is series of problems in fact. for example when i use my sixaxix at my laptop win 7 32 bit it has no problems ( i use other driver lib 32..driver ) but in the other pc i installed your motioninjoy  0.3 for 64 bit. at last i managed to install correctly but there is a problem like right joypadys showing down. i cant use both  L2 R2 with analog and my controllers right joypads show always the down way. u can think that it should be fixed or smtnhg but i've been using the same controller and it works completely fine at my laptop..  i really need your help thank soo much

Of course your problems it is fixedUse the 0.5.0002 drivers, it works better than the 0.3 version

Motioninjoy is unusable nowWhen using 360 emulation mode it uses my triggers as the right stick horizontal axis, the face button are mapped to the wrong 360 buttons...i can't use long push of home button to turn off controller... etc etcAtleast it doesn't bug out after it starts vibrating but it's even more unusable now ! Please fix these issues ASAP !

This is happening to me too! I thought I could finally play games with a controller because they all require 360 pads, and I was so happy with the emulation option, but the button mapping is all wrong. My triggers became the right analog stick and the rest is messed up also.:(

There must be a way to map the buttons not only to positive or negative, but in such a way that one button controls both, like the analog triggers should do. Like, right trigger goes from negative to positive in an axis, so I can control the acceleration from 0 to full in racing games. :(

Hi Acxie, I also have built-in bluetooth (so no dongle). When I install MotionJoy, (version 3, 4 and 5 alfa) the bluetooth driver installs properly, and ds3 recognizes the bluetooth adapterYet, when I click pair(ing) nothing happens. The usb connection works perfectly though. My bluetooth hardware is from 'Cambridge Silicon Radio' and I have x64 Win7.Will there be a new version soon of DS3Tool? And is there a chance my built-in bluetooth can connect in the future?

You need to plug in the controller with USB cable and pair it. Then you can unplug the controller and it should connect automatically to your BT adapter.My $1.5 USB mini bluetooth dongle is made by CSR too, in Win7 x64. Working flawlessly with both MiJ 0.4 or 0.5.

Hello Axie.
The Driver works great, but the Java based interface have alot of bugs.Some times the DS tool screen won't even load it stay white and freezes.I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del it then close it.
The Google Ads are ON-Top of the language options, makes it hard toselect certain languages.
In the Options tab I can't de-select auto update.
When I turn on my controller it assigns the pad to any number it wants.1, 2, 3, or 4. I only have one controller.
I see you've updated DS Tool to 5.001 on June 28th.Whats the changes? Maybe you can put a log file with changes.
I know Google Ads gives you money, but I think when you finish codingyou should make it stand alone (no internet & no JAVA) and SELL itlike any other product.
