PS3 Wireless Keypad on windows

  1. Install MotioninJoy please refer to http://www.motioninjoy.com/wiki/en/install.
  2. Use USB cable connect the wireless keypad to you windows,the windows will install his default driver.
  3. Run DS3_tool go to driver manager click "Load Driver" button,wait a moment,the program will logout loading driver information.
  4. Go to Bluetooth pair tab and the PS3 Wireless Keypad will appear there,click "pair" button. like as pairing Dualshock 3/Sixaxis.
  5. Unplug the usb cable from PC.
  6. Switch your Wireless keypad power on. press any key. After the LEDs  goes solid,the keypad is now connected. Success!!
  7. You can use it as a normal keyboard now.
  8. Give us some feedback over forums.

No Scancodes for Shortcut Buttons

This is a great driver!!!Version 0.6.0003 produces no scancodes for the shortcut buttons Message Inbox and Text Chat (the ones above the select and start buttons). Is there some property to set to turn these on? Thanks.

The keypad works fine, but when I turn on the touchpad input on it the cursor drifts around like crazy. There's no way to get it to stop drifting unless I remove the bluetooth adapter drivers with DS3_tool (which is difficult because the cursor is drifting, lol).  Any ideas?

  • I'm currently using MotioninJoy with my PS3 controller and the PS3 Wireless Keypad.
  • TheProblem: When i use the touchpad feature to move my mouse, it will
    continue to move the cursor in the last direction nonstop until i turn
    off keypad mode AND switch off the keypad power. (the cursor just slides
    around the the corner of the screen over and over until i do that) is
    there anyway to fix this so the touchpad feature will be more
    functional?

    glitch I wanted to let you guys know about, in hope of a fix if it is
    possible.

    Basically when I use the touchpad feature it works pretty well (though a little hyper sensitive)

This is a godsend for me playing FFXIV.  Went out and bought the keypad and it works great.  Sometimes i have a hard time connecting both my controller and keypad but usually get them both working in the end.  Having  a keyboard on my gamepad is even more awesome than I expected.  Highly recommended for MMO's with an ability bar that uses 1234567890 keys as ability hotkeys.  This was a must for me playing FFXIV.  This game is totally built for a PS3 controller and after much much research this is the only option for having more buttons on the gamepad.  Shame on Microsoft for not having a driver for its chatpad on PC (its a Microsoft product for christs sake) and thank god someone has the guts to make a driver (unsigned or not) for the PS3 controller.  Why in the world Sony is not doing this themselves I have no idea.  What a bunch of idiots.  Anyway, enough ranting.  Props to you bro whoever you are.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep up the good work.  If you get these drivers signed for Windows 7 64bit I will pay $15 for it (on top of donations I have already made) and I think that other people will too.  Just a thought (though I know you're already working hard enough on it.)

everything was working fine up untill the stupid update i Dont need extra features. My controller was working just fine Now i cant get the anologs to work. also its say "no game controller"

I try to update drivers its telling me to do the F* thing. I did it already about 20 times. Lasr time i did it i got bule screen error this is the first time this happen on my new pc.

getting the driver signed for 64-bit costs money,and it will take a tons of donations,if you fancy on taking the chance,you can run the driver in 64-bit windows,this is what i am doing,have to start the software as admin,then click enable and it works fine,only thing you cant remove the joypad from the computer till it is shut down,disconect doesnt always work and causes a BSOD,but end of the day it works and suits me fine,been playing PES 2011 and Fifa 10......

Sometimes BT Dongle Cambridge Silicon Radio is detected as Ericsson Licensing Technology and when that happens Dualshock3 not working....I fix it by removing and reinserting the BT Dongle...the rest...Good driver...excellent work...Very Thanks!!!
