hey, gotta problem!

i need get trigers (L2/R2) on different axis. For ex. to play game
like RBR throttle and brake. Yesterday i have fun to play, i could
setup everything, but i had problems with display driver. After display
d. i had to restart my computer. After all now i can't setup it right.

I'v got two wersions of ds3 tool. with editor and without (from install package). here are som screens.

when i launch version with editor, there is no sensors option, also
triggers dont work as axis. only buttons. doesnt matter what i set at
first screen.

version without editor works fine, but L2/R2 are on same axis, so it didn't work in game propertly..

@ Sovereign:

Thanks! That did it!

For those who are still having problems:

1) Completely uninstall current drivers (Use the uninstaller under
MotionInJoy AND Uninstall the driver from Control Panel > System
> Device Manager > Human Interface Devices)

2) Run the PREVIOUS release of the x86 MotionInJoy Setup

3) Run the PREVIOUS release of the x64 MotionInJoy Setup

4) If you have not done so already, plug in your Dualshock 3

5) Go to the MotionInJoy folder in the Start menu and Install USB driver

6) Go to the MotionInJoy folder in the Start menu, Right Click DS3Tool, and select Properties

7) Change the shortcut from "C:\Program
Files\MotioninJoy\ds3\DS3_Tool.exe" to "C:\Program Files
(x86)\MotioninJoy\ds3\DS3_Tool.exe"

8) Run DS3Tool from the Start Menu, Enable Vibration, and select your Controller Mode

9) ENJOY!

Note: The new drivers will disable Vibration. If you want vibration DO NOT use the release on this page.

P.S.: I have not tested this with the new driver, and I'm not sure I care to risk losing vibration for it.

Whoops I see a typo. Ah well.

Do
note that x64 vibration support is apparently a bit problematic, and
that's possibly the reason it's not officially supported.

I think the feedback power range is quite low, which means that the response is not always as it should be.

2009-07-01 05:44:00

Are the x64 drivers digitally signed yet?

fffffff

2009-07-01 07:49:33

Vibration function is not  really 64bits program now.

Mircosoft digitally sign need some money ,about 500 USD one year. I have not  enough money for this now.

BTW, I have a question that is  the maping profile editor necessary .

ipvideo: Please try to fix its problem with the Shadow Wireless.

Zero3K

2009-07-01 09:09:32

The
mapping is definitely nice to have, though not necessary (Xpadder does
this already, but it's nice to have it all in one program) as long as
you can get the analogue triggers working properly without it. My main
concern for this next release is making the profiler (if you keep it)
available offline. I could see that becoming an issue. My bluetooth
test didn't work. :( Have to buy a new connector. Oh, well. I like
having this one for my phone, anyhow. Now I don't have to sacrifice it.
But yeah, offline mode and x64 vibration should be your next tweaks,
IMO. Again, thanks for all the work you're putting in to this, helping
those of us without the know-how.

Zero3K,sorry .I haven't the Shadow Wireless,I can't know why it can't work.

2009-07-01 20:16:36

Can anyone tell me if there is any advantage in upgrading to this, apart from the profile editor.

I don't care much about the profile editor coz my controller is fine
and I also use Xpadder (if you havnt tried this brilliant program, you
should.)

Like does this driver remember your settings after you restart PC?

Because the current one doesnt.

Justin.

2009-07-02 07:34:27

I
can't completly say for sure yet.  But i think my DS3 program might
have its interface buttons messed up?  I try to enable the custom
config, but i end up getting the analog stick gamepad mode2?  Has this
happen to anyone else?

If it helps i'm running 64bit Vista.

2009-06-30 06:25:32 So what

2009-06-30 06:25:32

So what I typed was the correct method?

After installing both x32 and x64, I should open the x64 program,
check "enable vibration", enable option, and that's it?  Didn't get the
"shortcut part".

Thanks ;)

Yeah you're instructions are a bit confusing Dante, can you give step by step instructions?

Anonymous

2009-06-30 09:58:44

Using USB with testing ver. driver, choose Digital Gamepad(Dpad, without joystick) in DS3 Tool.

Dpad is an anlog button, right?

okkk

2009-06-30 12:58:19

Yes,Dpad is an anlog button,it can be  map to any axis.

sorry my french, my english is bad ^^

Dante

2009-06-30 21:12:56

Dante, I got it working using your instruction, thanks.

The vibration is still a bit weird though, it's probably not working
as well as it should, I guess that's why it's currently disabled on
x64.  Only tried it on two games though (and it didn't work on one of
them).

Sovereign

2009-06-30 22:16:07

hey dante how did you get vibration to work with xinput360?

when I set UseForceFeedback=1 the program crashes♠

Hey Sovereign, could you post what you did? Some of us are still having trouble getting it to work.

Anonymous

2009-07-01 01:45:52

Installed
using the x86 setup (previous relea, then x64 setup, installed
USB driver (from x64), then launched x86's DS3TOOL and enabled
vibration.♠

Dante

2009-06-29 20:30:55 if the

2009-06-29 20:30:55

if the vibration works very well.

I did several test, I found the solution.

just install the x86 version first, and after installing the x64
version, create the shortcut on the x64 and the vibration works very
well

install the driver after having installed both version

of course, put new file before installing the driver ^ ^

Dante

2009-06-29 23:24:01

Didn't work out, can you elaborate on the 64 vibration (step-by-step)?

2009-06-29 23:45:50

You've
done good work man, but there's still some kinks to be worked out. The
version I just upgraded to has some funky mappings. The right stick's
up and down don't work at all, but they did in the previous version.

2009-06-30 00:40:06

if both jostick works fine

you should just redo the calibration and all work very well ^ ^

Dante

2009-06-30 01:10:01

L2\R2 axis don't work how configurate it?

SaNcHoZ

2009-06-30 01:28:23

Dante, how did you get vibration to work on under x64?  Your solution didn't work, but perhaps I misunderstood it.

What I tried is:

1) Uninstall the previous drivers.

2) Install the setup exe of motiontojoy x86 from the last release that supports vibration.

3) Install the setup exe of motiontojoy x64 from last release.

4) Replace the driver with the one from this release and run "install USB driver"

5) Enable vibration on the program (tried both old and new).

What did I do wrong?   Could you please explain your solution?  Thanks!

Sovereign

2009-06-30 05:02:50

I
sai that just by installing the x86 version and after the x64 and x64
on the 2 on the checkmark box to create the shortcut that vibration
works very well with pcsx2 dolphin xinput360 pure grid

Dante

2009-06-30 05:07:16

I don't understand.. what shortcut?

After installing both x32 and x64, I should open the x64 program, check "enable vibration", enable option, and that's it?

Also does it work for you only with this release or the previous one? (that also supports BT)

Sovereign

2009-06-30 06:18:30

:(

Will there be x64 vibration support on the next official release?

By the way, the profile editor is nice, should help emulate the Xbox
keyset more easily, so we wouldn't have to set each game.  Thanks :)
