mouse not working
hello, i recently installed motionjoy to get a dualshock 3 controller to work. however, now my computer will not let me use my wireless mouse. Is there someway to disable the motionjoy driver or some other solution?
I have the solution
Go to system restore and select the 2nd roll back. It took me 6 hours to figure that out!
re: mouse not working
I am also having this problem. MotioninJoy works fine, but my previously paired bluetooth mouse is now no longer connecting to my computer. Is there some sort of work around?

Anyway, when i disconnect the controller it says nu can't find connected (USB) playstat(..)When i press the blue tellters '' PS3 BD Remote Control Pair and then query remote (press and hold enter and start ((enter @ pc?)) it always times out...Anybody got the solution? Thanks in advance

Z Axis
I followed the instructions under Win 7 x64 and have it recognized and functioning (somewhat). The one and only game I have tried (Wolfenstein) was setup all right except the right analog stick (Z axis) is backwards. Moving side to side looks up and down and moving up and down looks side to side. I don't know if this is an easy fix, but I can't seem to find where I could change that. Can anyone help. I am using the Analog Gamepad 1(POV, Joysticks) setting. Thanks.
it doesn't work on my vista x64 SP2 ....
I tried many times, but it didn't work...I had followed all the steps you give.oh,man...what's the problem with my vista..SOMEBOBY HELP!!!Does anyone have successed on vista x64 SP2??Can you give me some way? Thanks a lot.
Solution for vista sp2
Try this link :http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=377969It's perfect for me.
Signing officially?
Motion-in-Joy has proven to be trusted resource... How much does it cost to get them signed officially or is there any organization or plan in future so may be we users can help and does not make our x64 system vulnerable to root-kits by disabling driver enforcement and/or Test mode...
Controller not recognised in game
Hiya,First of all thanks for providing a way to use the ps3 controller on a pc.Unfortunately I have the same problem as George.I have Windows vista 64. I installed the driver and in control panel the ps3 controller is recognised and i can press buttons/move thimbstick and this is shown. However when i try to play oblivion it does not recognise that any controller is attached.Any ideas on how to get oblivion to allow me to use the ps3 controller? Thanks
Re Controller not recognised in game
I did not play oblivion.so can't make sure can use gamepad play oblivion. There are a large number of PC games available today that only support
the mouse and keyboard as input devices. Typically, this means that a
controller could not be used with these PC games. The Profile Editor
will allow you to use your MotioninJoy with these PC games. You are
able to assign keyboard keys, mouse buttons, and mouse movement to the
MotioninJoy with the Profile Editor. So you can use your MotioninJoy
controller with PC games that only support the keyboard and mouse.

2009-06-13 02:57:32
Everything
works but the right analog stick won't let me control up or down, just
side to side. It seems the R and L shoulder triggers are controlling
the Up and Down for the right analog stick. No idea how to fix this.

@ jim
I'm using XP x64 as well - and the controller works (mostly) very
well for me. It's worth noting, however, that I had to install the
driver for each USB port I wanted to plug the
controller into (that is, I plugged it into one socket, installed the
drivers and all was good. When I plugged it into a different
USB socket, it was as though I hadn't installed the drivers at all).
Now, I wasn't able to disable any of the Driver Signing stuff - and
I assume that this is because it's implemented differently in XP than
it is in Vista or 7 (someone please correct me if I'm mistaken). In
any case, despite the warning that the drivers were not signed, I was
able to install them without any problem.
Having restarted the machine and plugged the controller back in,
I did think that the driver was not working - but it was a simple case
of pressing the PS button in order to bring it back to life (each time
I plug the device in). Given that this is the only thing I have to do
(press the button) in order to get it working, this is extremely
convenient and nothing like as annoying as this 'Test Mode' stuff
sounds.
@ anyone
I do have one problem, though ... like SC, the thumb sticks
(analogue) do not work at all. If I look in the control panel under
game devices, then the controller is listed and all of the buttons work
- just not the analogue sticks, which do nothing at all. Is this
problem exclusive to XP x64, or jave some XP x64 users been able to get
these working ..?
I'd be very grateful for any further feedback. o_O

Write
your instructions in plain Fucking English that isn't indecipherable
and broken up worse than a god damn online translator.
2009-05-25 11:19:19 Yeah,
2009-05-25 11:19:19
Yeah, I
would love to be able to disable the sixaxis so I can map buttons
without it detecting the motion right away. Other than that, everything
seems to work fine. If anyone figures out how to disable the motion
detecting, that would be fantastic.

im not able to download the driver. its says : page not found.
2009-05-29 19:02:58
If you can't get the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider
program to sign your drivers or are having trouble entering test mode
and you don't feel like using the F8 workaround each time you boot,
check out this thread... Im using Windows 7 Build 7127 x64 and the
method does work
http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33920573
(It might seem complicated but it is very simple and easy to follow)
Important Note:
Instead of
downloading the entire Windows Driver Kit (700 MB) you only need to
find these four files: capicom.dll, certmgr.exe, makecert.exe,
signtool.exe (only 700 KB)
Microsoft doesnt let you download these files alone nor do I condone
doing so but, Im sure google will point you in he right direction
Note:
This Method did not produce the "Test Mode" watermark on my desktop either!
Once you get the driver working download Xpadder to map your PS3 controller buttons

I have again problems with my controller ... The sticks moves automatically.... HELPPPPPPPPPP
2009-06-03 10:43:40
I
can't tell which it is in the Device Manager because there's literally
like 5 USB Human Interferance Device slots. Does it matter which one
I pick? I did everything as follows but it simply does not work for me.
No error message or anything.
2009-06-03 13:56:32
It
does matter which one you choose, you have to look at the hardware id's
and find which Human Interface Device has the Hardware ID Values:
USB\VID_064C&PID_0268&REV_0100
USB\VID_064C&PID_0268
These can be found by going to device manager, then right click one of
the USB input devices (under Human Interface Devices). Then click
"Properties" Now click the "Details" tab at the top, and then click on
the Property drop-down menu (the menu should initially read: Device
description) and scroll to "Hardware Ids" (the second option usually).
Finally just compare the Hardware Id values above with the ones listed
for your devices, the device that matches is the one you want to
install the driver for.
Hope that helps...It may also be useful to unplug your other USB peripherals except for the PS3 controller before you begin.
2009-06-07 00:36:09
Everything works fine except for the right analog stick, it doesn't detect up and down movement. Any ideas?
2009-06-09 01:45:06
it's possible to use two ps3 gamepad in the same time connected with usb? if yes, can you tell me what i do?

It almost
works for me I do step 3 before step 2, i also had to delete any
drivers/ps3 controller from previous plug and play attempts. however
all the buttoms are messed up for halo 2 but the sticks work properly.
using windows 7 64, installed on usb input device, eisiest way for me
to find the right one was to look at install date instead of hardware
id. is there a program to change button layout (for microsoft games)?
2009-05-19 05:50:04
tnx it worked for me :D im on windows vista 64bit aswel , the main problem is the unasigned driver thing...
ill just restart the pc and put it in test mode when i wanne play :d
2009-05-20 07:55:56
Everything
MUST be done in the right order to install drivers. It took me a while
but it finally worked. First hook up controller, install drivers in
System32 folder (if you've tried and failed before reinstall fresh
drivers again), reassign driver for USB Input Device (make sure it's
the right one if there's multiple) - don't worry about the error 39
message - then use dseo to sign the driver, then turn on test mode and
restart the computer.. Should work now.. I'm using Vista Home Premium
64..
2009-05-20 12:07:07
I've
done every step successfully, but for some reason the controller
doesn't register when I press the PS button. The lights on it keep
blinking! However, the device manager says it is working properly???
What's going on???
2009-05-20 13:43:59
mine blinks all the time all four lights but pushing the ps or any button does turn it on and it's working in every game.
Has anyone found a way to disable the sixth axis i can't map the
controls in my N64 emulator, holding the controller flat worked with
other emulators but not this one.
I also used " xinputemu3.0 " a 360 controller emulator with great success.
2009-05-22 08:02:14
no problems on my end. works great.
2009-05-23 09:33:18
Awesome work !!
Did everything following the steps, and it is working great.
I'm using Windows 7 RC 7100 X64.
Keep the great work .
2009-05-23 21:50:50
not working vista sp2 x64 error code 39
2009-05-24 00:15:25
It works!!!!!! But my left analog stick it moves right automatically without move it with my hand and show on............
2009-05-24 14:24:01
Thanks!!! This works Great! It is easy to do.
However, I got it to work on the first try but after upgrading to
Windows 7 Build 7127 (64-bit) I had trouble with the program that signs
the drivers and enables test mode, I could
not get it to do that. But there is an easy workaround...
1) Before you install the driver all you have to do is repeatedly press F8 while booting your computer and it will
bring up a boot selection screen in which you can choose to start in safe-mode, and other modes.
2) Scroll down and select the option that says "Disable driver signature enforcement" The system will boot.
3) Next just install the driver as stated and press the ps button, and it should be working without needing to reboot.
Also by using this method you do not have to enable "Test Mode"
2009-05-12 04:44:47 Works
2009-05-12 04:44:47
Works great. And unlicje the libusb64 workaround this doesn`t make the PC BSOD.
Awesome driver!
2009-05-12 06:24:43
For those of you with Error 10, make sure you are installing drivers for USB Input Device and not the HID Game Controller.
2009-05-12 08:52:21
That's what I was doing wrong Shadow Cloud, thanks very much!
2009-05-12 22:39:34
Worked
yesterday, woke up this morning and booted up my system, not changed
anything and it doesn't work. Error code 39 :P Reinstalled and now keep
getting error code 39. I've not done anything differently to the
procedure i followed yesterday, which worked :P
2009-05-12 23:06:30
got
this to work today, but i think the motion feature needs some
reconfiguration ... i cannot get this to work with any application that
automatically tries to find out which button im pressing, because the
axis that present the movement of the controller do always give a
signal first. please fix this, id really like to use my controller with
some games!!!
2009-05-13 08:57:05
Works great, keep up the good work!
2009-05-13 10:40:02
The
drivers are working perfectly for me, thanks a lot. I have a request,
could you make drivers that don't track the motion sensor and make the
triggers an analog axis instead of buttons so it could be a fully
functioning game controller? The drivers would be absolutely perfect if
you would. Thanks a ton, I've been for 64 bit drivers for a while now
<3
To christian: you may be able to get around that a little bit by
holding down the button you want to be used when you click the button
to be assigned and moving the controller around so that it registers
the button you want.
2009-05-13 22:15:05
is
it possible to disable the motion sensing? whenever i try to map the
controller the motion sensing ends up getting in the way, even if the
controller is sitting on a level surface
2009-05-14 08:58:53
i think i've done this right. i've tried several times and keep getting code 39
2009-05-14 09:14:13
i take back that last comment got it to work just have to follow the instructions
2009-05-11 13:56:28 I'm
2009-05-11 13:56:28
I'm using
Vista Premium x64 and it still doesn't work. What gives? I really want
to give this a try even though I have a Logitech Rumblepad 2.
2009-05-11 14:47:48
If
you have error code 10 then you have loaded the driver for the wrong
part of the device, look closely at the first picture in step 2
2009-05-11 16:34:08
dont forget to disable UAC first =)
2009-05-11 17:53:32
Holy god it works! took like 3 hours but I got it! xD Thanks for this!
2009-05-11 18:45:58
2009-05-11 18:49:17
The
sixaxis lights keep blinking but it gets recognised in the control
panel. I can test buttons and motion sensing there, but Burnout
Paradise and POP 4 don't register the controller.
The Charging lights keep blinking continously, like they do when searching for a ps3 ..

2009-05-10 09:36:39
Surely that must mean it's only Windows 7 BETA releated?
2009-05-10 15:57:19
Works
perfectly on Windows 7 RC x64 with my Sixaxis, thank you!! PS: When
downloading the drivers from the first link, the first and second time
it just downloaded a 120KB file, so I tried again and finally got a
complete 1,60MB rar file. That could be why many of you get an error,
so try checking the size of the file. ;)
2009-05-10 17:30:01
cannot work on Vista SP2 64bit...
have tried lots of ways refer on this site...

It may be that you forgot to add the bootlag outlined in that step.
Just an idea.

2009-05-07 14:34:31
The comments are working fine for me again.
Having my message cut off last time, I just want to thank you for
providing support for 64-bit, unlike the other driver developers. :)
I also wonder about vibration though. I see it's not working at the
moment, but are there plans on adding it to the driver in the
future? Or are you going to work on wireless first?
2009-05-07 22:58:17
It is my plan to add vibration and profile that can config the axis and button.wireless is in difficulty now. I'm busy these days,so please wait some time.
2009-05-08 06:30:59
Wireless and vibration and 64-bit? Sweet, I'm looking forward to it.
I hope someone can help figure out the "device cannot start" problem though. Did you ever figure it out CJ?
2009-05-08 23:57:40

2009-05-05 20:00:13
Still doesn't work to me with DS3, even with the program.
This is what is written under driver status: "Windows cannot load
the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or
missing. (Code 39)"

you must do step 3 correctly.

I did, but it still didn't work. F8 and "disable driver signature enforcement" didn't work either.
I assume the problem isn't necessarily with the driver signing..
2009-05-05 20:59:07
if
you use F8,you need setp3 "a.use it to sign
'C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\MijUfilt.sys' ". only do not need " b.
Enable test mode"

Still doesn't work, same error message :(
I also tried reinstalling it multiple times while repeating the steps.
I'm really not sure the error is signature-related.
2009-05-06 02:32:33
maybe some files need,I will check it again
2009-05-06 02:34:01
Sov , I have updated the files, please test again.
2009-05-06 04:19:40
I used
the updated files dated 5/6/09 2:19AM and I think I did everything
right using the dseo program on Windows 7 RC. But I get an error in
the device manager saying that the "device cannot start" and indeed the
DS3 won't turn on.
When I right click on the .sys file I can see the NGO signature, but
in device manager it says it isn't signed under the driver information
page. Maybe that's it?
Or is this driver incompatible with Windows 7?
I think some people are getting this to work so thanks for your hard work.

I
am running Windows Vista 64-bit. I used the same updated files
(5/6/09), used the DSEO tool to successfully sign the driver and run in
test mode, but the drivers still do not work. The driver status says
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
The lights blink on the controller indicating that it is charging, and pressing the PS button does nothing.
:(

hi,all
I have installed my vista 64bit system again by way of testing this driver.
only winrar for unziping the file from www.motioninjoy.com/uploadfiles/www.motioninjoy.com_sixaxis_dualshock3_64bit.rar,it's not other software except windowself.
when I Update the driver In Device manager ,windosw warns me. and
there is a error "Windows cannot load the device driver for this
hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"
reboot my computer with F8("disable driver signature enforcement" )
check the Device manager ,the error "Windows cannot load the device
driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code
39)" cleared away.
after PS button it can work.
I don't know why of "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
without pressing F8
