Sixaxis Dualshock 3 Connecting via Bluetooth on windows

Version 0.5 instruction  please go to http://www.motioninjoy.com/wiki/en/help/install

  1. First make sure that your USB connection is functioning properly(see the above instructions), as this set of instructions is for the Bluetooth connection.
  2. If you have multiple Bluetooth adapters installed, take out the ones you don't plan to use with the SIXAXIS/DS3 so they don't get affected by the MotioninJoy drivers.
  3. As above, if you use a 64bit system you have to hold F8 and select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.
  4. Navigate to [Start -> All Programs -> MotioninJoy -> Install Bluetooth driver(Install MotioninJoy driver ver 0.4.00)]and right click it, selecting Run as administrator. After a few seconds, Notepad will pop up and give you the installation
information (note that if you switch USB ports, you'll have to repeat this step.) If the last line in the Notepad document looks like this:

    LOG Event: 0, Install completed
LOG Event: 0, Installation completed with code 0x0.
LOG Event: 1, RETURN: DriverPackageInstallW (0x0)
    SUCCESS: installed package C:Program FilesMotioninJoyds3driversMijBThid.inf.

    you're good to go.
  5. At this point, if you open [Control Panel -> Printers and Other Devices -> Game Controllers] you can see it looks about the same as the picture below. If it appears like that, you know for a fact that the installation was a success. Pressing buttons still won't work right now, so continue on with the next steps.
  6. Connect your SIXAXIS/DS3 through USB and make sure [Control Panel -> Printers and Other Devices -> Game Controllers] looks like the below picture.

  1. Go to [Start -> All Programs -> MotioninJoy -> DS3 TOOL] and click the pairing button. Make sure you have both the SIXAXIS/DS3 and the Bluetooth adapter plugged in and working. Every time you use your
controller with a PS3 you'll need to repeat this step.
  2. bluetooth pair

  3. Tap the PS button. If you hold the button for too long it will "unplug" the controller. If you feel a short rumble and the lights start flashing, then a single light goes solid, congratulations on your success! Now
you can go back to the Control Panel and test it out. For the controller's configuration options, refer to the USB Setup Guide.
  4. Now you can enjoy unrestricted, wireless, rumbling gameplay delight!
  5. Hold the "PS" button in to interrupt the Bluetooth connection and put the controller to sleep, saving battery power.
  6. Next time you want to use it, just tap the "PS" button and it will connect on it's own.

DualShock 3

I've connected my DS3 to my pc that way but now my ps3 don't recognize it anymore.
Every time I turn on my PS3 and press the PS button the lights flash but the controller isn't assigning itself to anything (PC is turned off).
What should I do?

That's just easy

Pal, if you want to use your PS3 controller on the said PS3, you've to register the sixaxis again on the console, cuzz your gamepad it is now registered to your bluetooth. Go to PS3 Definitions, search anything about Controller and register it. Easy. Hope i could help.

HELP!

I got the DS3 tool working to connect my sixaxis to the computer via usb/bt, and now the ps3 controller can only connect to the ps3 via usb! It can't connect wirelessly! No matter what i try, it just wont work. I connect to the ps3 through usb, then when I remove the cable, the lights on the sixaxis turn off. When i press the PS button, the lights all flash indefinitely. PLEASE do not tell me this has turned my sixaxis into a permanent gamepad/wired ps3 controller, I will be really upset if i cant get the wireless working again.

Troubles..

It seems that while following this porocedure my networking drivers, usb drivers and sound driver had some problems. I cannot connect to the internet with the other computer, nor can I back up it's data. Does anyone have a fix? I already uninstalled motionjoy in an attempt to see if it would work but it still hasn't provided with results. Any and all help would be deeply appreciated.

Re: Troubles

I had the same problem too, it happend after I disabled digital signature device enforcer.  The only thing I could do, since I had no internet access for help, was reset my computer to factory specs.

YOUR MOTION JOY GAVE ME A DEAD MOTHERBOARD

YOU PRICK DONT MAKE SOFTWARE IF YOU ARE A AMATUER PROGRAMER YOU JUZ CAUSE A COUPLE THOUSAND DOLLARS DAMGAE TO MY LAPTOP
FUCK YOU AND YOUR MOTION JOY IF I COULD I WOULD SUE YOUR ASS BITCH

What a dumbass

HA HA HA HA HA HA HAH AH !!!!!!  What a dummas, you forgot to read all the disclaimers and fucked your 2000 dollar laptop.  If i knew where you lived i could come over and laugh at you.But seriously, i would bet my 10 year career in IT that it is impossible to destroy a laptop mainboard using dodgy bluetooth drivers.

"Couple Thousand Dollars"

Even the most expensive mother boards don't cost $1000, it was your bright idea to download the program....Amatuer programmer? Ok so you program one better and put it on the net for all to see. I'd really be interested in this. Lol. I've been using MotionJoy just fine for quite some time on multiple systems. Goes well with Xpadder 5.3 (lets your controller emulate keyboard and mouse strokes/motions, makes using a controller for games without support for controllers possible! :-D
