Everyone Thank  Break very much!

  1. First, of course, you need to download the files. Go to the download page and choose the files that correspond to your system -- 32bits for x86 and 64bits for x64.
  2.  After the download is finished you'll end up with a .rar file, extract and run the .exe that's inside it. If you want to specify where to
install it, the first step will give you the option. Otherwise, just use the default (C:\Program Files\MotioninJoy\ds3) to avoid any future issues.
  3. If you have a 32 bit (x86) system, you can skip this step, but x64 users need to restart their computers now. Hold F8 upon startup and choose the "Disable Driver Signing Enforcement" option (keep in mind that you will have to do this every time you restart your computer if you want to use unsigned drivers. I feel that this is currently the easiest and most simple method to do this), then do the next step.windows 7 advanced boot options
  4. Use USB to connect your PS3 controller. Regardless of whether it's a SIXAXIS or DUALSHOCK3, WINDOWS will install it's own drivers. You can even see it in the Game Control Devices in the Control Panel, but it
won't work. I'm not actually sure if Sony did that on purpose, but in
any case.. everything looks normal, it just won't work.

  6. Start->All Programs->MotioninJoy->Install USB Driver Right
click and use the "Run as administrator" option. After several seconds,
Notepad will pop up and give you the install status. If the last line
    is “SUCCESS: installed package C:\Program
    Files\MotioninJoy\ds3\drivers\MijUfilt.inf.” then the drivers installed
correctly. (Note that if you want to use a different USB port, you will
    have to repeat this step.)

  7. install usb driver

  8. First hit the PS button to wake up the controller (you will have to do that every time you turn off the computer or disconnect the USB cable)
then navigate to Control Panel->Devices and Printers->Game
Controllers. You can press buttons here and see them reacting. The
analog isn't going to work just yet, don't worry.

  10. Go to Start->All Programs->MotioninJoy->DS3 TOOL Here you can choose between 4 profiles and the vibration function.
    • Digital Gamepad(Dpad, without joystick) Digital set up, Dpad works off of the X/Y axis. This is like the PS1 controller, works well for soccer games.
    • Analog Gamepad1(POV,Joysticks)Dpad is set to POV/hat switch, the 2 analog sticks are set up on the X,Y, Z and RZ axes. This is like a PS2 controller and is currently the most used.
    • Analog Gamepad2(POV,Joysticks,Analog Triggers)Dpad is set to POV/hat switch, the 2 analog sticks are set up on the X,Y, Z and RZ axes, L2 and R2 are also on an axis. This works well for racing games and is similar to the XBOX 360 controller.
    • Analog Gamepad3(POV,Joysticks,Analog Triggers,Motion sensor) This is similar to Gamepad2 with the added effect of motion sensors. At the moment it's not very practical.
    • Emulate Xinput Imitates the XBOX 360 controller. Is currently greyed out because it's still unusable.
    • Enable vibration Enables vibration. [duh]
    • Enable Option Applies the above settings.

problem with analog stick calibration

Motioninjoy installed successfully, DS3 tool works, drivers were successfully installed, ps3 controller is connected and it does work, and I did enable analog(POV, joysticks) in DS3 tool.  When I go to control panel and game controllers to test and calibrate my control, there's a centering issue that I'm having.  On the first test, it says to keep it centered then press a, did that, then the next one has you rotate a few time then press a.  This is where I have the problem.  The crosshair doesn't stay centered, it moves all over the box.  I've been trying different things since last night, still the same problem. I tried unplugging and plugging the controller, rebooting, decreasing and increasing the motor percentage in DS3 tool, and still nothing improves.  It's getting irritating.  It's not the controller because I have tested it out on my ps3.  It works for my computer games too, but the reason why it's a problem is because I can't configure the controller in the game options.  It keeps thinking I'm pressing the stick in either direction.  When I play the game, it works fine, but I want to be able to change the operation of the joystick to something else.  Any idea?

reset to default in calibration page of control panel

Your driver is installed correctly.I think maybe you do some error about calibration.reset to default in calibration page of control panel .

I have a similiar problem -

I have a similiar problem - except my Analog sticks wont work at all. They wont respond to any input but work fine on the PS3.
I tried reinstalling a few times and it didn't help - another thing someone mentioned was that maybe they didn't install correctly because they weren't Run as Admin or something to that effect but I double checked that. It's very frustrating - I didn't find anything on the forums about my specific issue where they wont work at all.
For you I'd suggest maybe making sure you don't get any errors when you install/load the program for the first time. Make sure if you're using Windows 7 it's run as administrator, I heard the drivers will install but not work properly.... good luck!
If anyone has any insight why my Analog sticks wont work I'd appreciate it. All other buttons work correctly - Analog doesn't work selecting any preset.

Additional thought

Looking over the Install Guide again - going off the fact that my D-pad was still working under Calibration - is it possible something wasn't working when I selected the 3rd Gamepad option?
I see mention of the Enable button, but I'm trying to visualize what I saw last night... I thought it was:

Load>Virbation Test>Gamepad Settings - is this correct? I think I am just missing a step (I hope!) to getting it right.

Thanks.

Yeah, believe this was done.

Yeah, believe this was done. I'm going to start from scratch this evening.

Problem

I've tried version 0.3 and 0.5 and installed the program and drivers for controller but when running the 'Install USB Driver' it just says ERROR: failed with error code 0xE0000235. any suggestions?

Re: Problem

You do have the controller connected while running the installer, right?

Couple Quick Questions

How do I disable test mode and do I need to be in test mode in order for the controller to work correctly?

i heard

i heard all you have to do is in the test screen hold the ps button for 10 seconds and then push x a few times and it makes it work
