Sixaxis & Dualshock 3 driver Install Instructions

  1. Download the appropriate drivers from download page .

  2. Last Instructions on wiki.

  3. Unrar or unzip the file.

  4. Run the install program. follow the setup steps.By default it will place the drivers and software in "C:\Program Files\MotioninJoy\ds3".

  5. Plug
    in your Playstation 3 controller(Sixaxis or Dualshock 3). If you
    haven't done this before, you will see that some basic Windows drivers
    are installed.

  6. From the Start button,run the "Start->All Programs->MotioninJoy->Install USB driver".Make sure to right click and "Run as administrator"or The driver will not install properly if your system is x64,before you do next step.

  7. If
    your system is 32bits windows skip this step. Restart Windows-when it
    starts to boot up again repeatedly press F8 key just after the BIOS
    does its POST.Select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement".

  8. Unplug the other USB bluetooth dongls if any except the one you need to
    connect sixaxis or ds3.After windows install its default driver, right click(Start->All Programs->MotioninJoy->Install Bluetooht driver)run as administrator. If need to use other bluetooth dongles, just plug it in after installation finished.

  9. If your system is 64bits windows do step 6 again.

  10. Start->All Programs->MotioninJoy->DS3 TOOL(request Microsoft dotNET 3.5),click "Pairing" button.

  11. Unplug the USB wire,press Playstation 3
    controller's "PS" button shortly to connect via bluetooth,The LED of
    "1" will always light after connected,dualshcok 3 will vibrates a
    moment.

  12. Seclect options that you hope and click "Enable Options" button.

  13. Enjoy your windows game.

  14. Long press Playstation 3 controller's(sixaxis' or dualshcok 3's) "PS" button to disconnect.

MiJ seems to BSOD when you unplug the controller while its in use

Like already said before this program is broken.I download a lot of programs and lot of games from a very long time,I expend most time on the computer that you on your game consoles.,besides media etc.And after some time today  can say 100% sure that this program its faulty of chrashing my system twice,I received the blue screen of death both .I was only probing it for some min not even playing.So download at your own risk.

DOn't recognize sticks!What else I can do,Foolows intruction but nothing.This program is completely useless if sticks don't work.I aready have a controller for pc but its a piece of crap.Either way without working sticks I would prefer to stick with my ol control or buy a pc one without all this trouble.Already conect and disconnect.What else coul I do.Think is app is broken.

it shows up in motion in joy and in the game controllers screen and when i test it all the buttons work when i go to play a game the game wont recognize it

  • I am using Windows 7 x86 and I can't seem to get my Dualshock 3 to show up in "Devices and Printers" when it's connected through Bluetooth. It can still respond to "Vibration Testing" though...
  • All of my drivers are properly installed (Or so I think), and when I have my Dualshock 3 connected through USB, it shows up perfectly as a controller in "Devices and Printers". Two new icons pop up, PLAYSTATION(R) 3 Controller and HID-compliant game controller. It also adds one more of HID-compliant mouse and HID keyboard device.

first tutorial

you have to redo the first tutorial. you need to run console as an administrator. everything you have to run as an administrator. your pc is atm not in testingmode. do step 5 again and follow every step exactly. it works perfectly for me
