This configuration guide will show you how to configure Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box for use with MotioninJoy and the PS3 Controller.
Guide made by: extra_dessert
Step 1: Open the DS3 Tool and click on Custom and create a custom profile, setting L2 and R2 to “Gamepad Axis”, with each trigger having its own axis. I used the Dial Positive and Slider Positive axises and the rest of the button configuration from the Analog Gamepad 3 profile.
(If you want to use the triggers (L2 and R2) with a axis, you will need to set them to separate axises, otherwise you will be unable to start a event (as you hold down the accelerator and brake to start a event)).
Step 1: Start the game. Once it has loaded and you can drive the car, press Esc to open the pause menu, press F2 to open the Burnout Store, then press F2 again to get to the Under The Hood menu, now click on Control Options.
Step 2: There are a few categories of control options to set, first click on the Car category, and then set the button mappings for that, then press Backspace and go to the next category, and so on, until all the controls are set.
Step 3: You can also set the axis sensitivity and see the steering, accelerator, and brake axises working. The default settings work fine. You can also set the vibration settings in the Force Feedback options.
Step 4: Press Backspace to get out of the Control Options menu, pressing Enter to save changes.
